Transgalactic

Note: Bulbs ship starting in October based on availability and your zone, unlike other products. Plant around or after your first frost but before the ground freezes.

Transgalactic is a stunning new-release bearded Iris with clusters of 5–7 fragrant blooms per stem. The upper petals are medium-to-dark blue, while the deep purple-blue falls feature a small white flash at the base. Each flower is about 5″ across and held on tall, sturdy stems. It blooms in mid-spring, reaches around 34–36″ tall, and is hardy in Zones 4–9. Deer resistant and ideal for bold cut-flower arrangements.

Transgalactic is sold in packs of 3 for fall planting.

Planting Instructions:

  1. Choose an area that gets at least 6 hours of sunlight and has good drainage.

  2. Plant with the rhizome’s top exposed at the surface of the soil and firmly pack the soil around each rhizome.

  3. Space Iris rhizomes 12-24” apart.

  4. Water after planting and continue watering at least once a week for the remainder of the growing season.
