Pheasant
SAVE THE RAMBLERS: Pheasant is a groundcover Rambler originally introduced by Kordes in the mid-1980s. She produces loads of pink blooms averaging 1.75-2” in diameter with a mild fragrance. This rare Rambler blooms in spring or early summer and occasionally has a later flush and a gentle fragrance. She is very disease resistant and thrives in zones 6-10.
Pheasant is a rare Rambler that has previously not been available commercially in the US. We are partnering with the American Rose Society (ARS) to save these nearly extinct ramblers from Anne Belovich’s personal rose collection with the goal of having this rose in three public gardens and at least 30 private collections. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of this rose will go back to the ARS’ Save the Ramblers initiative to further support the work of preserving these nearly extinct ramblers.
