Lemon Chiffon

Lemon Chiffon

Note: Peonies start to ship in November based on availability and your zone, unlike other products. Plant around or after your first frost but before the ground freezes.

Lemon Chiffon is a modern, herbaceous Peony introduced in 1981. It features the uncommon color of lemon-yellow with semi-double to double blooms that measure 5½–6" across. It has a light fragrance and soft, rounded petals. Flowers appear in early to mid-spring on sturdy 32" stems, supported by dark green foliage. Hardy in Zones 3–8, Lemon Chiffon is a great choice for bright spring borders and cut flower arrangements.

Lemon Chiffon is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.

Fall Planting Instructions:

  1. Choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.

  2. Dig a hole 12-18” deep. Mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. Add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.

  3. Place Peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.

  4. Water well.
