Gardenia

Gardenia

Note: Peonies start to ship in November based on availability and your zone, unlike other products. Plant around or after your first frost but before the ground freezes.

Gardeners in zones 3-8 will love adding this beautiful Peony to their collection. Gardenia is a large 6” blush white Peony with a mild fragrance. Her strong stems push out tons of buds, leaving a plant absolutely covered in blooms. Gardenia will bloom mid-spring and does best in full sun but can handle some partial shade. She is a perfect choice for large pots or beds, as she reaches 2-3’ wide. Enjoy gorgeous spring blooms for arrangements with double, blush-white beauty.

Gardenia is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.

Fall Planting Instructions:

  1. Choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.
  2. Dig a hole 12-18” deep. Mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. Add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.
  3. Place Peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.
  4. Water well.
