Etched Salmon

Etched Salmon

Note: Peonies start to ship in November based on availability and your zone, unlike other products. Plant around or after your first frost but before the ground freezes.

Etched Salmon is a classic Peony introduced in 1981, known for its full, double blooms in a warm salmon-pink shade. The flowers have a soft, rose-like shape and a light, sweet fragrance. Blooms appear in late spring on sturdy 36" stems. Hardy in Zones 3–8, Etched Salmon is a great pick for cut flowers and a favorite among gardeners for its unique color. This hard-to-find variety has limited quantities.

Etched Salmon is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.

Fall Planting Instructions:

  1. Choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.

  2. Dig a hole 12-18” deep. Mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. Add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.

  3. Place Peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.

  4. Water well.
